Background

Rasiky projects pty ltd was formed by the owners own need for a reliable supplier of specific installation materials to support their established door and windows business.
With the advance of double glazed windows, which were imported and distributed by the founders since 2010, the demand for these exact installation materials and tools grew rapidly and for a long time were imported for own usage in conjunction with the doors and windows from Europe.

Eventually in 2017 the owners decided that it was time to start importing at larger scale and distribute materials only as well. As usual the start-up phase always takes longer than anticipated so first stock landed in SA only in early 2019.
With a strong team of sales agents and a solid equity funded financial backbone Rasiky will support the local industry with first class materials at affordable prices and expand its product offering to facilitate better, more economical and longer-lasting on-site fitment procedures.

Foam: Expanding polyurethane foam filler is widely used on any building site in the world primarily to seal against air leakage and to avoid insulation leaks in respect of sound, heat as well as noise. The product cures quickly which facilitates a stable environment for later trades without time delay and can be cut, sanded, sealed and painted over easily with standard sealants and paint.

Foam gun: Precise dosage and aim are crucial to economical use of PU Foam which is only achievable by using an gun type applicator. The commonly in DIY stores available PU foam bottle with built in plastic nozzle is highly inconvenient to use for 3 main reasons. 1) the plastic nozzle is not stiff enough to get the foam to where it should go. 2) the trigger mechanism cannot be controlled i.e too much or too little foam will be dispensed. 3) once opened- the can must be thrown away- cannot keep for next day.
Foam cleaner: Basically Acetone in a spray can which is used to clean the applicator gun for storage as well as used but not empty foam bottles. Wet foam can be dissolved with the cleaner as well. Once hardened the foam can only be removed/cleaned off mechanically by scraping, cutting or sanding.

Concrete screw: A self tapping wall anchor which makes wall plugs of any sort obsolete. Predrill with a 6mm Masonry bit into normal brick, mortar and insert the screw directly through the part to be fixed into masonry. For harder substrates like lintels and reinforced concrete use 6.5mm SDS drill. Granite and similar rock may need a 7.0mm SDS bit to be able to turn the screw in all the way. Longer SDS bit are necessary than the usual standard length as the screw alone is 132mm long and ideally the hole is a bit deeper to avoid drill dust blocking the tip.

The screw can also be used to tap into structural steel/stainless steel, aluminium and wood.
